Walking past my fridge and a recipe teaser popped up on the screen using Tahini paste. Hooray! I bought some at the African grocery back in January and I've been wanting to use it ever since. THEN, the next ingredient was Greek yogurt. Whoa. I'm in. I've been looking for an excuse to like that stuff. So the fridge gave up the full recipe and here we went....Paired that side dish with my usual chicken tender recipe, BUT with a new sauce that can set your lips on fire.
Ok, you're getting a preview of the Teenager review....
But I say, for anyone who likes a 5 alarm meal, the sauce for the chicken [ hot sauce + brown sugar, etc] was the real deal. Then the coolness of the yogurt sauce on carrots was an amazing balance. Well, a cooling sauce, but I spiced up the carrots with hot madras curry powder and cayenne pepper.
The Teenage Resolution: Ketchup. After all my hours in the kitchen. Ketchup. Credit is given though, he did taste the offerings before running for the fridge to find the old standby.

Guess I'll throw in some desserts so they come back every once in a while.
