Go for it. As I said, they may be impressively large, however not what I would put in the "attractive" category.
And so the Sunday morning goes....First the small loppers.
Then the shovel.
Then with all the huffing and puffing I'm not surprised that the next step was....back to Home Depot.
Apparently for an ax, and a chain saw. Two things I did not see coming as items on my shopping list anytime soon.
Time to call in Thing 1 and Thing 2 (sons) for help.

ONLY 13 MORE TO GO. If we can do more than one in a weekend then it will take less than 14 weeks. And considering it is getting cold relatively soon, that would probably be advantageous. So, we'll see if we go through the winter with a lopsided half of a hedge. Or not. Because next time Husband is apparently going to try a technique he saw on YouTube involving a trailer hitch and a chain. So stay tuned.
